My Favourite Lullabies

Did you know research shows that babies respond to music from the time they are in a mother's womb? That's why our Indian culture has a repertoire of songs that parents and grandparents use to introduce a baby to their mother tongue. It is an important part of growing up - every child grows up hearing songs from family members when they are made to sleep. It is a special bonding time between parents and child and sometimes other members of the family and the child. The Shankar Mahadevan Academy wants to bring this simple but important joy in every parent-child's life.

• Session duration: 45 minutes
• Timings - pick as per your convinience at the time of enrolment*

*Shankar Mahadevan Academy has rolling admissions that let you pick your own class timings. Once you select a class, you will be shown all 12 sessions in your schedule. Please read our Academy Policies and Frequently Asked Questions for more details 

• Help new parents and family access to a repertoire of lullabies that they can learn and sing to their babies or just play and listen with their babies 
• Create a special bond of music time between parent- child and also expose babies to good music very early on brining joy and a lot of developmental skills ( as research has shown music to help in a lot of early development)
• Expose the child to various languages other than their mother tongue which will be beneficial to the child.
