In this course student will be introduced to different aspects of Rhythm, understanding songs in different beat patterns, introduction to what a raga is, and a few compositions composed in the same raga in classical and film music. Student will be able to learn semi classical based film songs containing sargams and swara patterns. Student is also introduced to light classical non-filmi and folk genre. You will have the opportunity to use all the voice gym techniques learned in your previous courses by co-ordinating your singing with your breath control and rhythm.

Objectives
- Learning to warm up with pitch and notes perfection.
- Introduction to beat patterns, rhythm and tempo with exercises.
- Identify, understand and learn to sing songs with different beat patterns in a consistent tempo
- Understand and learn to sing songs that start on beat, before beat, after beat with beat positions and tempo
- Introduction to raga, scale and expression
- Learn to sing a raga based film song with expression and melody
- Learn to sing semi-classical based film song which contain sargams/swara patterns in the song to help understand the swara placements
- Introduction to folk music, understand the pattern, lyrics and learn to sing a folk song in the right tempo.
- To learn to embellish the songs with emotions, mood and expression

Students are required to complete Voice Gym 1 and 2 before enrolling for this course
